This excursion begins at Inuk Hostels and takes 2 hours. For generations food stocks have been very important for surviving. Such food stocks have always been placed close to the settlements in thoroughly considered dry, unapproachable places for birds, foxes and other wild animals. Today the stocks have been compensated with refrigerators and freezers. An exciting and informative excursion about former well organised techniques. • Tasting of dry fish is included in the price. • Trip starts from Inuk Hostels. Duration: 2 hours
DKK 295,-Accommadation at Inuk Hostels is a great cultural experience. DKK 325,-Storytelling has been - and still is - a very important part of Inuit culture. Quite many stories are similar to stories from our Inuit kinsmen from Sibiria, Alaska and Canada. These stories have been told in generations, and are still today popular - also - among kids and youth. In former time most of the stories have had an educative purpose in the upbringing of children. Storytelling takes place at Inuk Hostels’ café, Café Inuk. One or two stories will be told by a good Greenlandic storyteller. • Coffee or tea, are included in the price. Time: October – March, on Thursdays once a month. Check Inuk hostels’ facebook page. Duration: approx. 1–2 hours
